What type of metal?

This was found on the beach this weekend, assume it to be an earring.Any ideas on what type of metal this is? 3.93 grams and a density of 9.35 and it feels silky like lead. Very malleable. Rang up as 12-09 on the CTX.

Pewter maybe? Looks like it's pitted from washing beach sands for some time. Earring, Not sure?
