Two piece iron back button, Mid-1800's to around the 1870's. Pretty cool button, I have not found any iron backs yet.

Thanks coinman. Would this style of button be on a shirt, coat or pants. Its kind of small for a coat button in my opinion.

I think it may be a cuff button.
