Alright! Ive always wanted a MXT and have a chance. There is a delar that is willing to sell me a demo model MXT for $484.00. As you know im 13 and money is a issue for me as I have no job lol. With help from dave yesterday he helped me as giving info on to how to cash in a bond for $200. So I have 200.00. I need 284.00. I have a prizm IV with the regular coil and the extra 9.5in coil which is 100.00. He also takes trade ins and Im wondering should I trade in the prizm with both coils, (it also has all video/papers and a blank warenty card) or should I start a bid on ebay for 248.00 or should I sell it on TreasureNet?!? Which way will I get my moneys worth for it also What is it worth?!?

I'd at least give eBay a shot; it's a relatively popular model so I'd think that you would get your money's worth.? You're a Charter Member so you can list it here on the eBay forum for some free advertising as well.? Set the reserve at the $284 just in case, that way if it doesn't sell you can still go to the dealer for the trade and not have lost anything more than a few days for the auction.

Good luck!

or, if anyone wants to sell/trade (plus cash) me a used MXT I would rather do it with a TN member!

? ? First let me say that I like my MXT. It's a very sensitive and deep seeking machine. It may be the best all around detector for finding coins, jewelry and GOLD. I capitalized gold because if you do not have the opportunity to nugget shoot in your area the MXT might not be the best choice for you.The higher frequency that the MXT runs on is great for finding lower conductive targets like small pieces of gold and nickels. The bad news is it's also great at picking up teeny pieces of foil and aluminum.
? ? ?The MXT does not average it's return signals like many detectors do. The result is that the MXT will not "lock" on a target ID as much as other detectors. This is especially true in higher mineralized soils and high trash areas. This is also a plus as it helps you pick out the good targets that are hiding in amongst the trash. But it takes time and practise to learn what it's telling you. A smaller than stock DD coil is a definate plus with the MXT.
? ? There are more pros and cons to the MXT. To many to go into here. If you have not done so I would ask to demo the demo from your dealer before you buy. Be SURE the MXT is the one you want.
On the other hand $484.00 sounds like a pretty good price. :)

i was also looking at an Eagle Spectrum?!?! any no anything about that one!?!?
