that was my first thought when i looked in my scoop...
Here I am in a FRESH water swimming area and found this..
YES i know it is a FAKE all i can do is luagh..
going to Daytona beach in the morning..

Um dumb question but are you surel it is a fake? I mean, (dumb question #2) I would assume you are not basing that solely on the fact you found it in a fresh water swimming area..

falcon is right! i have heard of them found in parks and all kinds of places...they sell coins like that that are set in bezels and on chains, so if they come loose :o But if its marked "copy" or something i think its pretty safe to say its a fake :D
 

I'll second that motion. Unless it's just very apparent that it's something other than gold or it's got copy stamped on it, I'd have it looked at. Either way, it's an awesome looking coin. Congrats!
