I went to the local junk/scrap yard to see what was new Saw this thing What The Heck Is It!! ?? Its cast aluminum. The guy had no idea either, but he would like to know, so I thought I would ask you guys

Seriously, looks like some kind of gear works, but there are no wear marks,
so I suspect it's NOT a part of machinery.
Final verdict: No clue.

Looks like the top to a screen house roof. Poles on the standing screen house would all connect to that in the center. and there would be a small piece of plastic tarp and a pole that came through the center.

This isn't your everyday scrap yard, no dump hoppers and the such. The guy (81) goes to farm and estate sales every day but Sunday. He buys mostly old tools, farm equipment, rusty old iron for scrap, and the stuff other people don't want. He has been doing this for years Its pretty cool, he lets you look around all you want!! He could care less, hes makin money I find a lot of good stuff there.
