Looks like the Gold Cube guys are at it again. BANJOPAN to be introduced at Vegas gold show in late April. Not a lot of info here (no videos at least) on how it actually works but we should learn more in a few weeks. http://www.banjopan.com/
I'm most curious about it's fine gold capture and how it compares to the cube. If it can run relative volumes of material then all the better for areas where no motors/pumps are allowed.

Dont really need another pan, but If it's under $50 I'll probably get one. :icon_thumleft:

I have a version 2 or 3 prototype (I'm friends with Red) and it's pretty cool. You can definitely rip thru the material faster than with a regular pan. So like you say, could be good for areas where sluices, etc are not an option. I expect it to sell for much less than$50, not that I know anything official of course.

Update: tonight Mike Pung said it would be priced under $30

Oh, and, like the gold cube, it catches the fine gold quite well. My first pan also had a nice big flake in the nugget trap so there's that too.

it almost looks ridiculous. But if it works, then who cares what it looks like!

Kevin, how long and wide is it? I have had something similar in my head for a while but have not made any because I know that I wouldn't use it. Strange huh?

The version I have is a deep 10" pan with the sluice part being about 4" wide and almost a foot long. Not sure how that will compare to the final production version though.
