Could it be the tip of a target practice arrow Glen?

I found this one in a high school yard about a month ago.

i practice throwing knives myself, and in the past year ive lost 4 in the grass :( they are usually painted matte black to look cool/professional so that doesnt really help in finding them either

I'm with devildog too. Railings don't have a carved handgrip or a loop at one end. Being found at a school also suggests a kid carrying it to show off or for defence/attack.

Devildog - You have detectors. Use them to find ya lost knives! lol :tongue3:

On first look, I thought it was a fence spike also. But looking again I saw the loop on the end. Has to be the throwing thing.

My kid has one of these made out of plastic, though I'm sure he would prefer one made from metal. He is at the 14 year age, and is fascinated by "ninja weapons".
