Yes, it sure is. Shanegalang just found one of those in our Colonial site here in Louisiana. Broken about the same place as yours. It is in his 8Reales post in Today's Finds.

thanks buck, but i couldn't find his post on 8reales. i knew it looked like a key of some sort, but would like to know more about it. thanks again!
