Hey all,

I have dug lots of these little things in the past. ??? Passing them off as some electronic thing. :-\ I passed them off as a modern button once too I think. :icon_scratch: I thought I saw a post of someone finding these with 3 ringer bullet's :o I think he said they were blasting caps of some type. :o
Anyone know what these really are? ??? :icon_scratch:

They are about the size of a matchbox car wheel and made of heavy, softer metal maybe led I think.

Keep @ it and HH!! ;D

I have found a bunch as well. I was told they were lead caps put on nails in roofs so that the nails wouldn't rust???

I think ME22 has it. Lead capped roofing nails are used a lot on barns. The soft cap seals the hole the nail made in the sheet metal so it doesn't leak.

So they would make a seal around the hole and water wouldnt leak thru. They once were used in putting tin roofs on now there is a rubber washer under the head of the nail...d2

They look like old meter seals to me, especially the one in the top left. I seem to see the remaining wire still sticking out the side.
