I haven't weighed it. Know little about firearms. Posted a casing from the same location yesterday - turned out to be a later 30s .22.

This one seems quite large. Found at Calvary camp 1868-1875ish...

I can tell you it is not a 22....Neat find ...Osage

Weigh it. 1 grain equals .06 grams. Then cross reference the bullets weight in grains to known cartridges.

Need accurate measurements. It doesn't look like there is enough patina on the lead to date back over a hundred years. The photo looks to me like it's relatively new or fresh.

Looks like an old pistol round maybe 45 to me . It has rings which you don't really see in modern bullets. Just my two sense. I'm not an expert

It's for sure over a hundred years old. The rings and shape give that away. The patina is off a little but it resembles a fired or mangled civil war bullet. I've dug a lot of cw bullets and their all white. Soil might play a factor. But it is very old

I'm going to weigh it. It was found in the central Arizona desert. Nothing corrodes out here! Lol...
