What period is this spoon from?

Yesterday, I was relic hunting in a CS Camp and dug this small tea spoon with the DuPont (in an oval) hallmark. I know it's not CW but there were several WW2 maneuvers in that field and wondered if it may be from a mess kit or something? Any help appreciated and HH.
