Went out today with a few door knocks on my mind. No one at home for 2 of them and the other was "come back tomorrow and talk to my husband".
So I decided to go back to and old permission. I grabbed the LRP & ran (AM) all metal mode for the 1st 45 minutes and did not pull any good targets (beaver tails and trash). I switched to #4 mode. Ended up pulling a 1934 D Merc, 2 wheats 52D & ?? date. Also pulled 6 memorials.
I then decided to go to another older permission. I ran the F75 in AM for a little then went to Boost. Only dug 3 deep pieces of lead. I will continue to hit this site in AM or BP on occasion. This lot has given up over 160 coins but only 1 coin from the 1800s. There has to be some oldies there, but deeper than 9 to 10 inches.
The day was young so I went to another lightly hunted permission. Started with the F75 and then went back to the LRP to gain more experience with this detector. Pulled a neat Deere compact and an old Ford part (wheel bearing cap?) along with an old razor handle. Hit 2 other locations briefly on the way home.
I was hoping to keep my IHP roll going, seems like I pulled one or 2 every weekend this season (since July), but I atleast ended my silver drought.
