What minerals make these colors?

found these quartz wondering what makes the Red in one and blues green in the little one.

Nice find, I like the colors. For the red I would say iron rich, as for the others I'm sure the experts will chime in with their knowledge...

Without actually testing for the mineral content.. (i'm not a expert) I'm sure one can find what was said above: iron, zinc etc.. One must really look at an element chart to get a grasp of whats seen in this world we live in.. thou there are still areas where we can't always see what something is and often we must not trust what is seen.

Thanks Cariboo5 we have several different quartz through here just recently got back into rock hounding grand pa use to pick up all summer when we farmed and take them to Hillsville flea market everythings in hay now
