Found on beach under wooden steps that go over dune. Has a threaded hole in one end and a greenish plastic looking bead at the other end. Looks like it may be the tip of something, like something screws into the threaded hole. It does not come apart. It does look like an LED on the end but I don't see a place for a battery and I don't think they make batteries that small anyway. Somebody out there in the WWW has to know what this thing is. Maybe it's from a UFO! LOL

In picture 2 it looks like there is something sticking up from the center of the threaded hole, is that correct? If so it could be an antenna tip that is intended to "light up" when RF is present.

Cell phone antenna
Great ID. It lights up when you get a call.
Thank you. A buddy of mine had one on his phone. He lost a few of those. They come unscrewed pretty easily.

Looks like a "cartridge" that goes to a police training video shoot/no shoot to me. Slides in place of regular catridge in a semiautomatic pistol and when pointed toward a video screen shows up as a light on the screen when shooting the bad guy. The firing pin causes the circuit to be completed and causes it to light up. The little bump in the middle of the bottom is spring loaded if it is, and I see what looks like an ejection groove around the base. I don't see that in the sample picture and that's primarily why I question the ID. But I am wrong a lot too! M ::) nty
