dug this button a few minutes ago...not sure what it is....slightly larger than a quarter...2 piece (3 piece now lol) the back is missing.......i didnt break it...both pieces were in the hole....if you cant see it in the pic there is an eagle at the top

I agree Marty... modern(ish) blazer button. Keeping in mind that "modern" to CRUSADER means anything in the last 1000 years.

I's say it's an early 20th century button.

I think you are right... however, while it very closely matches a modern Waterbury Button of the PA state seal (#3) , it does not resemble a "period" or CW era era PA state seal button (#2, #4)... at least not in the examples I found.

So, I think a much more modern Pensylvania State Seal button. Too bad the back is missing...

number 3 is the button....thank you very much for the info...you have any ideas what kind of date? in the 50s there was an old house on the spot where i found the button....thank you again

Thanks!! ;-) I could not find a match in Alberts or Tice.. so??? Does it look like it was flatten maybe???
