What kind of yellow metal ring is this?

The ring was found in sand about 5" down, it was hiding at the edge of a playground and a asphalt kickball court. It's marked 417E. The US 10K European equivlent is 420. So if 417 is a gold mark the ring would be lower than 10K Gold .

Some stamp 416 some 417, I have seen both.

10/24 gold content, 10 karat pure gold divided by 24 karat pure
