SS could be. A paragraph from the history reads, "Acute distress and even
starvation came to the Dorset button makers; from the Shaftesbury district
alone 350 families were shipped to the colonies at Government expense". I wonder if any of these families picked up where they left off with the help of mechanized ring or loop makers. Arty

I did a post a while back about the Bronze rings we find here, we come across them a lot. Some were proberbly used for a wide range of things, and some for the Dorset Buttons :icon_thumleft:
