ok i found this clip a couple of years ago an have not been able to find out much about it or its value. It has a SWASTIKA on the front with LOOKOUT MTN. COLORADO around it. Also it has a flower motif on each side of the front. It is 2&1/2 inches wide and 3&1/2 inches long the spring inside still works and it is made out of brass it also has a hole on the back piece that it might have been used for hanging,an just below the hole is the stamp of the manufacturer which says ROBBINS CO ATTLEBORO,any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank You.

Attabora Mass ?? The swastika was in use by Native Americans long before Hitler hijacked it. I think possibly the Navajo (sp) in particular. I believe this was sort of a good luck symbol. I used to have a nice salt glazed pitcher. Your money clip could have been a giftshop item at a reservation.

In the early 1900's the swastika was widely used as a good luck symbol on U.S. tokens, watch fobs, and novelties.

"Lookout Mtn. Colorado" suggests that this clip may have been a souvenir item from there.

I don't think it's a money clip, but a large paper clip or clamp. They were very popular desk items during the same time period. In fact, there were fancy ones made by Tiffany that are now worth hundreds of dollars. Advertising clips were especially common. Here's an example:

Jrich & PBK Thank you for your input,I googled this item over the weekend an got several hits for robbins co,i found the. hallmark in a war collectibles site but that was all i emailed a couple of the companies but have yet to receive a reply. Not that i'm selling do you have any idea as to how much this could be worth?

I have one almost like it and a uniform patch from the uniform of my Great Grandfather before WWII. It was the insignia of the 45th Infantry. It was replaced sometime before USA entering the war by the now famed Thunder Bird emblem. Do a search on the 45th Infantry for more info.
