What kind of button am I?

This button is 1/2 in. in diam. and has a very faint three masted sailing ship on it.
The backmark is RICH GOLD.This button was found in an area where I dug a lot
of flat buttons.Any info is always appreciated.HHs

It's a c. 1825-40 Jacksonian gilt brass waistcoat button, probably the same variety shown in the center of this group:
