Re: What kind of bullet is this?

a little more info might help with the ID. Better measurements would help. It looks to be about 5/8"s long and maybe 1/2" wide. That would make it about a 50 caliber. Is the hole in the base triangular or does it just look that way in the picture?

Looks like the top half of a cut Williams Cleaner bullet.

I updated the post.

Re: What kind of bullet is this?

Like other folks here, I've been waiting for precise measurements to be provided ...especially the object's diameter. For bullet-ID, precise measurements are crucially necessary.

But the "updated" measurements make no sense. One millimeter is aproximately 1/25th of an inch. So, the 1.5mm measurement you have now provided is equal to about 1/16th-inch. The ruler alongside the object clearly shows it isn't 1/16th-inch wide and 1/16th-inch long. Please try again.

Did you mean 1.5 cm ? and not mm . Because that would be a really small bullet , and the ruler shows that it has to bigger than 1.5mm .

It may be 15mm which would be about 58 caliber. If it has had the base cut off of it it could have been just about any 58 caliber bullet to begin with. I measured several different 58 caliber rounds and almost all of them are 15mm wide and 15mm from the tip to the top of the first ring(groove).

I think it is a 410 rifled slug :dontknow:

NOT! no rifeling on the bullet and the hole in the bottom is to small. Thanks for your input. :icon_pirat:

Measured with that ruler in the picture. One side is in inches the other side says "mm" that is the side I used.
Anyway, one of my club memebrs who knows CW bullets confirms that it is a Williams Cleaner. Thanks for your input anyway. :)
