what kind of bowl is this, and how much.

My daughter found this bowl in a sale. Would like to know if it worth anything, and what kind of bowl is it. Its Ten, and one eigth inches wide, and two inches deep. Looks as if it is made of brass, and has China ingraved into the bottom.

I think Crusader is correct, they are usually mass produced.
Any other markings on the bottom besides... "China" ?
