I found this a few months ago, actually forgot about it until my bride asked me about the "cute little jingle bell". I found it not too deep in a lawn from the 1920's. There is what appears to be some sort of folk art inscription on it, no other identifying marks. And yes, there is a jingle in it, but I don't think it is a jingle bell, per se.

Thanks for looking, hope you can help!BWD:hello:

It looks like it would be the striker from inside a large bell to me

Could be, but there is a metal ball inside of it, maybe I should post better pics. It is definitely a bell. but never seen one like this before.

Goats appear to use a smaller version of the classic cow bell, according to google. Does your bell have a slot for the jingle sound to come out of? Is it possible to do a rubbing or imprint the design in silly putty, or something for us to get a close up, clear image of the design? It seems like a really cool bell, hope someone recognizes it!

You can spot that shape of bell coming out of India. They advertize them as "camel bells".

Right? I remember that I found it in a yard where the original site of the Fort was, camels in Florida? Maybe there was a circus that came through town....

Ah yes grasshopper, the Fort. 1850's, then abandoned, recommissioned for use during the civil war, then abandoned again, then finally built up and around early 1880's
