Found by a friend in Cochise County. Despite the markings I can’t figure out what it is. Any help is much appreciated!

Ok, here it goes for my uneducated guess; it may be an anchor for a tension cable for a telephone pole taking into account the angle of the indent in it. Not that I’ve ever seen one out of the ground, but they had to be seated in something both sturdy and cost effective. Other than that guess, I dunno

Does appear to be cement. Size?

looks like a segment of a tractor wheel weight but cant tell for sure with one view and no size comparison.

It’s about 18” high by 10” wide. The opening does not extend all the way through.

That's not very much weight -- if it is indeed an anchor. ???
I don't think this is a guy wire anchor (utility pole or tower).
Maybe if you buried it under a big pile of dirt for added weight?
