Monty - this fella is Turkish, and was in chat several days ago... he called
this an "elephant rock" when he shared the pic. Even if you translate the
site he sent, you can read teh site but not what is being posted...

I think he might want to know if it's a treasure sign... ??

There's more of the same on the inside. Like Monty said BFR or in this case a BFR that has a "problem." The outer layer of rock has recently broken off. The hole is most likely what is left over from a stabilization effort - drilled hole with large "bolt" inserted.

Nice elephant though.

looks like some artist saw the form of an elephant by the crack, and decided to enhance it by chiseling the side and adding an eye, subtle but if your paying attention looks great

Or maybe some artist on crack decided to chisel the side of the highway trying to get rid of the elephant eye looking at him and wound up enhancing it as he could not pay very close attention.
