Found detecting in site of an 1700s 1800s home site. What is this? How old is it? What type of metal is this? If you CAN Pull a similar pic that would be Great.

Looks like an older version of a Hide-A-Key

The shape and size makes it look very much like a rocker arm,
but I don't see any wear.

Whatever it is, it's broken off of something else.

Based on the color of the metal, I'm thinking it's either zinc, pot metal or possibly even brass.
If you could clean it up a bit to bring out more of the details, this might help us I.D. it for you.
