What size and material please?

Four and a half inches long, was longer, also had another groove where the break happened. Material is a very hard igneous type rock. I couldn’t figure out how to add more pics or I would have put on more. How do you add more from a iPhone?

The camp is split pretty evenly, property we found it on has a substantial amount of Native American artifacts that have been found on it. The nicer stuff the father keeps, it is his land after all. He has found two others like this one, and they were whole, he kept those ones. After many days of beer drinking and sunburns, I’ve found several nice “heartbreakers”, and a couple of complete pieces that he’s allowed me to keep. This one is actually larger over all than the two he’s got, but this one is broken.

Did the other ones that were found have a similar groove like yours? If so, one or two grooves? If 2, on the same side, or one on each side?

looks like a good digging rock if I have ever seen one. not sure if its an artifact but I imagine a hoe or adze like tool
