Where was it found? Lots of Egyptian jewelry from the '20's after the discover of King Tut's tomb....???

At flirst glance I thought it was part of a boot or shoe decoration.

Have you checked for silver ?

Has a pin or bar broken off of the back.. My guess is a hair barrette

I haven't found any markings on it for silver, in fact I'm not seeing any markings on the back at all. It looks to be brass, maybe?

the wife (hairdresser) says hair pin...but we are arguing the fact it could be bent afterwards...

Now that I look at it, I think you're right. Liarmo. The pin has broken off, but see the piece that the pin was supposed to be on. So do you think maybe 20's as you were saying?

I tried googling it but there are SO many.... I think 20's, yes...

Pin "bar" to be exact.

Has nothing to do with hair.
