What is this?!?!

Is there anybody that can help me with these items? I know one is an iron (how old??) What would the spike be used for? What kind of forged hook and chain is this? The casing...is it a pistol casing? Its a rimfire type but it looks to have been hit in the center. So i know that its old but thats it. All these items were found at one location. Thanks for all comments. Great help!!

Tha casing looks like a CW era carbine bullet casing. Could of been a Sharps casing.

center is a clothes iron. Heated on top of the old wood stoves. Interchangeable handles.

Thanks for the info guys. As far as all metal mode... no i wasnt. I was in pro zero sensitivity maxed out and discrimination on about 30. I figure all these items to be mid 1800's. Am I close?
