I was digging at my nephew's place in Central Texas. The area was settled in the 1830's and was near the same area where we found a Army sword belt shield. One guess was that it was a drip bowl for the umbrella holder on a hall-tree. No idea here. What say you guys and gals?

Maybe the water basin for an old style Christmas tree stand.74696e6fd96db5d856723d5b47c07b6b--christmas-tree-stands-vintage-christmas-trees.webp It sure seems familiar.
