Anyone know what this might be? Found at a historic home. It has a very little bit of possible threading at the end of the shaft.. (As seen in pic #2) Have no clue what this is though... Looks like the top part of a hanging lamp, it hung from a hook or a chain attached to it.

20s to 40s , you also have to consider where this house is. It was common for houses in town to have electricity, not so a farmhouse. I have 2 of these type lights in my house and I put them in the 1930s, older hanging lamps tend to be cast iron , here's a photo of a small hanging lamp,it's cast iron and dated 1907.View attachment 1306265 I just reread my post and it sounded like I hung the lights in my house in the 1930s , I mean they're FROM the 30s.
