Dependent upon state your in,could be ancient bluecut from days of old river of gold,kalif. Decomposing ol' matrix from serpentine/shale contact point-flood layer. Without hands on hard to tell. John
Thanks i am in northern ca this is on a active creek bank and the deeper you go the more it gets like a baby blue clay very sticky and also gets chunky with tiny flakes and can chunk it apart
Looks like blue clay with decomposing bed rock but the gold recovery here is very course not very much micro gold as most of the pieces i get here are thick and chunky
The pic is only my take there are two of us in that hole and yes i think this is specific to this creek that i am on havent found anything like this anywhere else
Exactly stefen !! It is a pretty big hole but most of it was huge rocks little heavy but easy to move im 27 so the back is still strong lol but i enjoy it very much im not trying to make a living just a hobby
