What is this ?!

Hey guys, found this with my AT pro on an old cart path in the woods. I believe it may be an old coin. It is bent one way as you can see, but it almost looks like its cut in half right down the middle. I thought it was a button at first but I don't think so. I added a bunch of different photos. Hopefully someone knows!

You know what it looks like? One of those flattened penny souvineer coins.

The dots are letters of some sort, cant really make them out though. Somehow the thing is bent

Cool find! I think it is a Portuguese or Brazilian Reis coin. Something like this-
