It looks like a 4th century Roman Bronze coin, not sure of the ruler :dontknow: might be Honorius, a better picture of the reverse might narrow it down :read2: but I think the coin is to far gone :'(

Interesting find!

I'm not a coin person either, but in looking at your photo the "chin" is the most distinguishing feature to me, and possibly something to keep in mind while searching for a positive ID.

Agreed, late 4th Century AE3 or AE3/4 of someone like one of the Valentinian's.
