what is this

givin to me buy a guy for shoveling his snow of his side walk. i dont now if it real or fake. one side has a head of a guy and the back has a full figure of a guy holding something in his right hand. the scan of the secound did not coem out like i wanted.

its about the same size as a dime

any help would be great

It looks like a 4th century Roman Bronze coin, not sure of the ruler might be Honorius, a better picture of the reverse might narrow it down but I think the coin is to far gone

Interesting find!

I'm not a coin person either, but in looking at your photo the "chin" is the most distinguishing feature to me, and possibly something to keep in mind while searching for a positive ID.

Agreed, late 4th Century AE3 or AE3/4 of someone like one of the Valentinian's.
