Trying to ID this symbol on a ring and pendant. I would imagine it's some type of Native American symbol but I can't be sure. The pieces are on unmarked sterling. I just can't see and was hoping a fresh set of eyes could see something. Sorry for the bad photo-

No idea, but if you turn the ring the other way, it looks like a smiling boy. But the pendant has the hangar on the top, so your orientation is right. Maybe an Incan motif?

prolly not a symbol..just graphic art.some of the pnw or inuit stuff looks familiar.unmarked may indicate very small or custom production by local smith

Got me :dontknow: I would think it be Mexican silver by how it's made, but who really knows w/o marks? Could have even been made in the US by some unknown studio silversmith.

All good thoughts and thanks for the replies so far. I thought it resembled some native abstract bird head symbol myself but I have yet to find anything similar. I did however find a mark on the ring. It was very tarnished, so I cleaned the back off a little. Under the tarnish I noticed the back of it has been scratched up for some reason so it was a little hard to see. I thought it was an 8, as in the size of the ring, but then I looked with a stronger 12x loupe and it appears to be an SS or an SB mark I believe. I'll try to get some photos up this weekend or tomorrow evening. I took some just now but I'm gonna need better outdoor lighting or something for them to to be of any help. Definitely no marks on the pendant though.
