What is this Souvenir

souvenir.jpg Found this thin piece of brass or copper item with Souvenir on it. Just curious if anyone knows what it might be. It's thin , 1.5 inches long with two tiny hoops on the botton where something may have hung from it .The back is smooth with nothing on it. Nice dull patina . Could it have been an old cracker jack prize from years ago?:icon_scratch:

That's certainly a possibility, and I agree with the timeframe of the example, but I'm not sure it could necessarily be narrowed down to any particular event or location, as companies (like Schwaab in the search below) used these for everything from monuments to state fairs to etc., and I'm not sure the top was unique: antique souvenir monument medal - Google Search
