Hey everyone! First time posting here. Could someone please help identify this rock? My dad has found it in the 70s in Baku, Azerbaijan, in a bog. It has weak magnetic properties and smooth to the touch. It also has some corrosion on the surface. It weighs about 564 grams (both pieces). Attached are the photos of it. I don't have the rock on me, but will try to provide as much of additional details as possible. Thank you!

The last image makes it look like slag from a metal making company but first several look like tigers eye, mixed with mineral deposits?
Thank you! It probably isn't a slag, my dad says there were no factories (or anything for that matter) in the area at the time

Def looks like slag to me. They dump it places. I found a whole bunch that was just dumped near a creek. Was all excited until I looks it up.

Slag has a way of traveling from its source. Much of it was used as a good material for railroad ballast and has been for many years now.

In my opinion, this is slag. I have been hunting for meteorites for some time, and slag is one of the number one "meteorwrongs" out there, due to its magnetism and glassy surface.

Now that I think about it I've found chunks of this stuff by the tracks around here in certain parts, green and black. I assumed it was agate until this thread, it is slag. I've also found a chunk of an unidentified rock that definitely appears to be a piece of ore, I think they pile mine tailings in the track bed as well, reused industrial waste
