Hi everyone, I was digging up my back yard and found quite a large rock (within a meter of digging) which looked a bit like a meteorite or some valuable rock like quartz. I'm really unsure, it doesn't have magnetic power but it has, what looks like 3 layers: a previous core, simple rock and then a layer with small crystals which looks like it was previously heated thus I assumed it could of been a meteorite. Can you tell?

1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard Gabriel! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country). You might also consider adding your state (or country) to your displayed profile (SETTINGS -> EDIT PROFILE) so if you ask a question, etc. - members may have more success helping you (your location may help, etc.)...

Looks to be a chert/flint nodule. Not a meteorite.
