I am no rock expert for sure. Does look fossilized though. A tree or something else.

A view of the back and the thick side would be nice. Texture looks to odd for a fossil.

The back side looks just like the front. The rings are just the same all the way thru...I don't think it is a fossil...feels like a rock.

There was another recent post about a cave feature - perhaps this could be a piece of a stalagtite/mite? I collect petrified wood, and this doesn't seem right for that, and seems off for an agate. Very nice specimen.

It's a evaporite. Probably salt or gypsum. Those are growth rings centralized around a nucleation point. The picture provided is a salt deposit on a much larger scale.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1467873638.980431.jpg
