Found this while metal detecting the other day. At first I thought it was a bullet, but it seems to light to be made out of lead. I then thought maybe it is a piece of iron slag or a meteorite...? Any guesses...? :dontknow:

Limonite concretion? Welding slag? Maybe not too likely a meteorite. You said you detected it...or did you stumble on it? Does it register on a detector and is it magnetic or hold a magnet?

(impurities) slag or clinker from burning coal. if you ever clean out a coal stove or shovel cinders you'll see lots of them.

sure looks like slag
hard to tell due to the color in the photo
