it don't look like conglomerate. looks like it is two is melted to gether the one is like a fade dark red and the other is like old bone white and is rough to the touch

Its called LEVERRITE........leave it there...lol... it appears to be volcanic by the looks.....probably a little lighter in weight than the average rock its size.....where are you located at......you could of had volcanic activity there in the ancient past...

i am located in pa near grantville in side on Lebanon county. i will take better pics when i get my good camera back

Break off a piece to show us some fresh surface -- The weathered surface can fool ya.
Also use the 'Marco' function on your camera (marked by flower).

just go my hd1080 Sony camera back so here is a lot better shot of the rock. i broke a piece off but made no diff i color

Reminds me of Limonite. Try to get a streak colour out of it; a piece of unglazed porcelain should show that pretty quickly.
(Rub them against each other) Let us know the colour it produces. :)

Could be limonite. Or slag as suggested. Check the history of the area... :thumbsup:
