This item was in a old sewing box with several other random items I bought at a auction. There was no description for the item. The item looks like stone but the surface can be scratch into with your nail. If you rub it with a paper towel the color of the object leaves a mark on the towel. It has a weird old smell but everything was old in the box so this isn't too surprising. As you can see from the attached images each side has a slightly different symbol on it. I'm really at a loss to what this might be. I've debating everything from a old lead seal to an old bar of decorative soap.
