NRHP is really just a title that any place with a documented history can have if one applies for it, and anyone can apply for their own property to be recognized if they wish. Some sites are long abandoned and may even have a new home built over the old site. It really just amounts to a matter of notoriety for remembrance sake. Some NRHP sites are protected but it is not a requirement. As long as you have permission, it is not a problem.

How old is this rego piece?

The RegO trademark is owned by the Bastian-Blessing Company of Chicago, Illinois who originally made soda fountains. By 1910 they had a second factory in Grand Haven, Michigan and in 1918 created a new division called RegO to manufacture gas-welding equipment and subsequently all manner of associated heavy industrial tools and parts.

There have been multiple registrations for RegO trademarks in different stylings but your particular style of lettering was filed on 16 July 1947 (with first claimed use in commerce of 1925); registered on 7 June 1949; last renewed 7 June 1969; and lapsed 20 years later.
