What is this hunk of metal?

I posted this in todays finds thinking it was a log splitting wedge but maybe its not. It measures about 10" by 4" and is solid iron. Found on property that used to have a grist mill, about 150 years ago. It was about 6" down in the woods. wedge1.webpwedge2.webp
 

Looks a bit like a splitting edge or some tool of that sort. I believe this because the top side near the rectangular hole has mushrooming like it was being hit with another object.

That my friend is a plow point. I find tons of these. Actually pulled one out yesterday. And the week before 6!

Agree it looks like a plow................I have found more than a few around my land.......

How old do you think it could be?

your plow point looks like(a guess)1905 to 1920.the adjustment slot and width indicate this to me.again a simple guess....cool find
