✅ SOLVED What Is This? Chinese Zodiac or Something? Coin? ???

Can anyone help me identify this? I found it in Statesville, NC while hunting around a civil war camp. Doubt it was something the soldiers carried. Not sure what to make of it. This one might stump even the greatest of experts! lol

It looks like a Chinese amulet; basically a 'good luck' piece. One side of yours depicts the Zodiac animals.
