What is this any ideas on the age? Found this metal detecting in the site of an army air field. Practice training base. Base too. Is it related to the place? To that? What type of metal is it? Is it broken? It says P 140 what does that mean?

Magnets will not stick to aluminum, brass, copper, gold, lead and silver so there is no "of course" when someone asks if a magnet sticks, it is a common question asked to help identify metal of a item.
