Found this with permission on a site of a military base training site U.S. Army Air Field air force base. What is it? Some sort of chisel? Is it training, military, base related? Is it to a car? In picture 4 is that wood? Age? 20210205_194325.webp20210205_194239.webp20210205_194256.webp20210205_194304.webp20210205_194311.webp

Looks like a screwdriver that the handle rotted off.

Yep, it is a screwdriver minus the handle.

That's what we call a BFS aka Big F***ing Screwdriver. When I was in the Air Force, we had a tool drawer inventory sheet at one base that had the acronym BFS. When we had a Air Force level inspection, the inspector asked what it stood for and was told. We had to change the nomenclature for it to Screwdriver, Flat Head, 10 inch, after the inspection. I tell you the Air Force had no sense of humor when it came to some things.
