I found these 2 things
The small one I believe is a musket ball ..It's about 1/2 inch in diameter with a seam and a small flat top.
Is it a musket ball ???

The Large ball is pitted steel..It weighs 9.4 oz and is approx. 1 5/8 " in diameter...

Is this what they call a 1 pounder???

Both may be from a cannon. The smaller one being grapeshot while the larger one being a solid cannonball, maybe a 1 pounder that hs been worn down by the sands of time. But they also didn't have the scales to pinpoint a 1 lb. ball either. So you may be correct in assuming that it's a 1 pounder.

I don't know if it is a one pounder but it could be accurately described as a 2" gun. monty

sphere from a BALL MILL from a quarry, makes big ones into small ones ???
