What Is The Dime You Just Can't Find For Your Book?

I have been trying to fill my silver Rosie book since January and am amazed I have not yet found at 49p or a 54s. In looking at the mintage of silver Rosies, I have found multiples of the lowest years, but have yet to find either of these 2. Anyone else have one or two they just can't find?

I enjoy the hunt, and buying them would take all the fun out of it.

I don't do the volume you do, just maybe $2k per month in dimes.. I only have 18 unique dates (missing 30 of them). I don't think there is really a key date or rare one in the bunch. Most of the ones I get are 63-d and 64-d. I have a lot of duplicates in those date/mm, but just 1 or 2 in all other dates that I have. I actually have the 54-s that you are missing, so I don't think it's rare by any means.

Oh, and an extra special thanks to ChainChomp. Because of the post a few weeks ago about the 55-p dime, I am now starting to keep track of the dates I have in an excel sheet.. I get super excited now everytime I fill a new hole! I have plenty of silver dimes that I bought or inherited, but I don't even check or count those. Surely not as fun..

49p mintage: 31,000,000 by no means rare.
54s mintage: 23,000,000 not rare. here are some lower mintage dates and mintages:

49s 13,500,000
55p 12,500,000
55d 14,000,000
55s 18,500,000
hope this helps. hh

I hae numerous 49P dimes, but no 49S dimes.

Care to swap one for one? Fill an empty slot in both our books. :-)

(I'm missing the 1949S and 1955 to fill my first book. and only a 1952S plus those two to fill the second book.)

Been waiting for a 1955, I have at least one from every year, but can't find a 1955. Also waiting on some various years mintmarks as well.

I finished my Roosevelt book about two weeks ago...... :hello2:. I found some searching, purchased some and was given some.

They are securely housed in a Dansco book that also has the Proof for certain years and the Silver proof for certain years. It is even better
when ALL coins are BU...... :hello2: :hello2: The only year missing is 2010 which will be filled next payday...

The 1976 Type 1 and Type 2 were hard to acquire but I finally got them as well, those were the most difficult to find for me.

I will have to remind myself and post some scans of the book tonight for everyone to enjoy.

I also have a complete roll of 1946 Roosies(different MM), if anyone gets in a bind and cannot find one. They are all Business Strikes but BU......
