Not sights or not made of lead.? Some tkype of ferrous metal that is rus resistant......stainless steel?? ?I thought it might look like something that would go in a keyway too.? One of them is twice as thick as the other and looks like it may be two of them stuck together.? Perhaps a whole row of them stuck together to fit into some type of staple gun?? I have seen similar looking things in the corners of dresser drawers to hold the corners together but these are too thick I think.? The construction area where I found them was a concrete block wall partially built and then abandoned for some reason....some kind of spacer?? They appear to be heat hardened steel much like a concrete nail but just a funny shape.? Exploded staple gun is a possiility but I've never seen one apart.?Not big enough for a boat tie off. JIM

Could they possibly be spacers to hold blocks apart for some reason? Kind of like spacers used in grouting tile. Jim, I know the shape you're talking about-called mortise joints. If they're thick enough, could they be called rigor mortise? ;)

Why I haven't seen any of those in some years! Those are none other than the infamous "Flivver Flippers"! Used by police in the teens and`20's, long before the invention of the "stop stick" these were employed to stop fleeing suspects by being tossed into the spokes of a suspects automobile! (back then you could just run up alongside and toss `em in!) They fell out of favor when cars began to use a more modern rim thus making these ineffective! ;D HH omnicognic 8)

Ok guys, let's be serious. You know I don't like to kid around about these things! I found out what these are but due to national defense I can't tell you. Let's just say it has something to do with dead ninjas, remote controlled military drones and John Wayne. Sorry, don't ask any more questions because it's a need to know, eyes only, top secret, crypto, DEFCON thing. Did I forget to mention the UFO and Roswell, N.M. connection? Oh darn, now I've gone and given it away! Don't tell anyone what I have just divulged. If this gets out I am in big trouble. The Sphinx AKA JIM

I am a gun collector and I know it is not anything to do with firearms.Tumblers from a lock? Possible. We probably won't ever figure it out as it is either part of something larger, or a specific use item . Thanks for a lot of excellent guesses. JIM

I'll go with the "Block Spacer's" and the reason being is the grove for running a string line. Take them to a local lumber yard. I bet they will tell you the same thing.

A spacer would make sense since unfinished masonery wall was present. Anyway, I tossed them into my "goodies" coffee can and it's time to move on. If I ever need a couple of them I will have them! ;D JIM
