I don't think this is quartz..... very shiny sort of reminds me of inside of a clam like pearl colored
Looks like it was inside a clam also by the shape

I am only just now seeing this. Sorry, I'm a busy guy and don't always check this site every day. Kind of looks like schist to me. Maybe someone with more knowledge will pop on with a better ID.

Mica schist, a common metamorphic rock.
